The foreign advisory boards in Hessen are anchored in the Hessian local order (HGO) and (as voluntary committees also) in the Hessian administrative district order (LKO) and for many years represent successfully the interests of the non-German population.
Where always the interests of the foreign population are touched, foreign advisory boards put accents and form with. Even if this becomes not always equally visible, it is of benefit for us to all. Foreign advisory boards exert themselves for a local integration politics and fight against unequal treatment and discrimination. They are involved in educational opportunities, in integration in day-care centres and schools. They make themselves strong for the support of foreign associations. They represent compared with management and politics the special interests of the foreign population and have there say possibility. If serious interests stand at stake, they also go out into the streets if necessary to express protest and to offer resistance. Also foreign advisory boards with big vigour organise cultural, sporty or political events and international parties in which people and cultures from different countries and continents get closer themselves.
The foreign advisory boards are no named committees, but are chosen by the foreign population directly and democratically.
